I am a lifelong artist who discovered basket making more than a decade ago and quickly fell in love with the art of traditional broom making. Today, I create handcrafted pack baskets and brooms that blend beauty with everyday utility, and I am excited to share this timeless craft with others. If you’ve been looking for an opportunity to learn a new skill and experience the joy of creating with your hands, I invite you to join me for a fun and creative day of broom making. Whether you’re a beginner or have previous experience, you’ll leave with five beautiful and functional handcrafted items for your home, kitchen, fireplace, or to give as gifts. Together, we will create: • Cake Tester • Veggie (Root)/Pot Scrubber • Round Hand Broom • Turkey Wing Whisk Broom • A fifth broom of your choice You’ll be able to personalize your creations by choosing from many colors of broomcorn and twine, and for the final project, you’ll have access to a variety of beads and gems to embellish your broom and make it truly one of a kind. No experience is necessary, and all materials are provided. This class is open to adults and youth ages 13 and older. Come spend the day with me learning a traditional craft, creating beautiful and useful pieces, and discovering just how rewarding it is to make something by hand. Cost: $65 per person
